Who we are

Spoon Emporium (spoonemporium.com) is a curated marketplace and community showcase for spoons. For anything privacy-related, contact us at nans.spoon.emporium@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address, username, display name, and optional profile details (bio, profile photo).
• Sign in with Google — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and personalize your account. We never see your Google password.
• Content you add — spoons you catalogue (photos, descriptions, measurements), listings, saves, and messages you exchange with other collectors.
• Purchase information — payments are processed by Stripe. We store order records (item, amount, buyer and seller), but your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Session data— cookies that keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To operate your account, showcase, listings, and messages.
• To process purchases and pay sellers (via Stripe Connect).
• To generate draft catalogue entries from your spoon photos using an AI service, and to check that uploaded images are appropriate for the marketplace.
• To keep the Emporium safe, curated, and working properly.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of service providers to run the site: Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI cataloguing of spoon photos), and Google (optional sign-in). Each receives only what it needs to provide its service. Content you mark public — your showcase, public spoons, and username — is visible to anyone.

Your choices

• Edit your profile, photo, and email any time in Settings.
• Make any spoon private, or delete it, from its edit page.
• To delete your account and associated personal data, email nans.spoon.emporium@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Security & retention

Data is stored with access controls (row-level security) so you can only see what you're meant to. We keep your information while your account is active; order records may be retained as required for financial record-keeping.

Children

Spoon Emporium is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
